A Chimney cake, traditionally called Kürtöskalács, is a dessert of Hungary. This Sweet Bread is freshly baked to order with a crispy crunchy outside and a light fluffy dough inside. They are cylinder shaped with a hollow center, resembling a hot smoking chimney when it comes fresh out the oven.
Fresh sweet dough made daily, rolled, wrapped around a cylinder and baked in a rotisserie oven. If you enjoy the taste of churros, then you will absolutely love the scrumptiousness of a Chimney Cake!
This vision transpired after a visit to Prague where this dessert is found on the street grilled on an open fire. Inspired by the delicious dessert we wanted to bring Chimney cakes to Arizona. Studying the art of making the Chimney Cakes and buying equipment from Europe has made this possible. Starting in a mobile food trailer and has transpired to a permanent location in Mesa, AZ at Mesa Riverview Shopping!

Zaaron Williams - I grew up in a military family in which we moved every couple of years. I lived all around the US and Korea as a child and was a happy extroverted introvert (shy and quiet at first and quite outgoing after I warmed up to you). I was extremely creative and always looking for things/processes to improve. I joined the Army after high school and spent a year in Iraq within my four years in the military.
I graduated with a Masters degree at Grand Canyon University while working full time.
AZ Chimney Cakes started after a trip to Prague, CZ. Chimney cakes were available almost anywhere in the old town and new town Prague where they were cooked on spits over open fires on the street or in rotisserie ovens in quaint cafes. Shortly after arriving back home, I could not get the sweet dessert out of my mind and began researching what they were and where the closest store that had them was. There were no stores in Arizona so the journey began. My mother and I started heavily researching how they were made and recipes to make them. It took months after receiving the equipment from Europe to finally get the techniques down. I ordered a trailer to start the business in late 2017 and moved in the cafe at Paradise Valley Mall November 2018. This location recently closed and a new location is ready to open March 2020 in Mesa! See our Home page for updates!
Hand rolled fresh with each order! Served just the way you like it. Some like it "Sweet". How do you like your Chimney Cakes?
